New Jersey Sets Another iGaming Record For March

Another month, another iGaming record for New Jersey.

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released its March New Jersey gaming figures, reporting $197.1 million in iGaming revenues and more than $1.3 billion bet on sports.

The $197.1 million in iGaming revenue is a record for the Garden State in a single month.

New Jersey iGaming Destroys Another Record

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported $526,643,474 in total New Jersey gaming revenues for the month, an 8.1% increase from the March 2023 revenue figures. The $197,195,071 in New Jersey online casino revenue is the most New Jersey has ever reported for one month.

The March 2024 total of $197.1 million is a 19% increase from the March 2023 revenue total of $165.7 million.

Peer-to-peer iGaming resulted in $2,358,271 and “other authorized games” resulted in $194,836,800 in revenue.

Year-to-date, New Jersey has reported more than $1.5 billion in total iGaming revenues, a 15.7% increase from the 2023 March year-to-date figures.

Also, for the first time, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement included breakdowns of each individual sports betting and iGaming operator in their monthly report. The DGE announced the change in reporting at the start of April.

“By providing more detailed, skin-level revenue information, stakeholders and the public will have a clearer understanding of the performance of individual iGaming and sports wagering operators,” a DGE spokesperson noted in a press release.

FanDuel Casino and DraftKings led the way for March iGaming operators, with DraftKings reporting a $41.18 million win and FanDuel reporting $41.57 million.

Newcomer ESPN BET reported a $3.26 million win for the month.

The top-five iGaming operators in the state for March were as follows:

• Borgata Casino: $18,158,105
• Caesars Palace: $13,112,671

Sports Betting Sees Big Month as Well

The state also reported $89,687,971 in sports betting revenue for the month, which was a 3.6% decrease from the March 2023 sports betting revenue total of $93 million. Despite the decrease from the March 2023 totals, New Jersey customers bet a total of $1.3 billion, the fourth highest monthly handle total ever in the state’s sports betting history.

As usual, the vast majority of sports bets were placed online, with $1.28 billion of the total coming from online sports betting.

Surprisingly, FanDuel and Pointsbet were the state’s top-two performing operators. FanDuel reported $29,533,888 in revenue and PointsBet reported $20,137,489 revenue for the month. PointsBet saw a 189% increase in March from its February gross gaming revenue total of $6,949,286

DraftKings was third with $17,582,183 in gross revenue for the month.
